Digital Group of Telehealth Companies - The Digital Award of Excellence

The Digital Award of Excellence
This annual award recognizes a program, project, or individual for significant contribution to telehealth in Canada. Nominations are submitted by members of the Canadian Society of Telehealth, and the recipient is selected by the CST Awards Committee based on specific criteria.

	October 2002 The first 'Digital Award of Excellence' was presented at the 2002 Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Telehealth (CST) in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Penny Jennett, President, CST was recognized for her significant contributions to telehealth in Canada. Here she is shown receiving the Digital Group Award of Excellence from Wayne Bell and Dr. Rod Elford at the CST 2002 Conference.
	October 2003 At the 2003 Annual Conference held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, CST presented the Digital Group of Telehealth Companies Award of Excellence to the Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation (AHSC), for significant contributions to telehealth in Canada. Krisan Palmer, shown in the photo at left, received the award on behalf of the Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation.
	October 2004 In Quebec City, the 2004 Digital Group of Telehealth Companies Award of Excellence was presented to the Government of Nunavut for their IIU Telehealth Network Project at the Canadian Society of Telehealth Annual Conference. Dr. Rod Elford of Digital Telehealth is shown at left with Victor Tootoo, Assistant Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services and Tina MacKinnon, Nunavut Telehealth Manager.
	September 2005 The 2005 Award of Excellence was presented to VideoCare in Winnipeg, Manitoba during the CST Annual Conference. At left, Dr. Elford is shown presenting the award to Dr. Neil MacLean, Manager of VideoCare.

The 2006 Award of Excellence was presented to the First Nations Telehealth Network in Northern Ontario - Keewaytinook Okimakanak Telehealth (KOTH). Dr Rod Elford made the presentation in Edmonton, Alberta at CST's annual conference on behalf of the Digital Group and Donna Williams accepted the award on behalf of KOTH.
