Accomplishments & Awards

1997

  • The Right Honourable Jean Chretien, Prime Minister of Canada opened Digital's Artificial Reality Testing Integration and Communications (ARTIC) Lab making it Canada's first private-sector research facility for Virtual Reality and Telehealth. Later that year, Digital was recognized by Financial Post Magazine as one of Canada's "Up and Coming 25 Information Technology Companies."
  • Digital Image FX Inc. received the Atlantic Canada Media Award for Excellence in Internet Development.

1998

  • Digital Image FX became a finalist for the Canadian Advanced Technology Association (CATA) award for innovation.
  • Digital Image FX Inc. was listed as one of Canada's "top 100" software development companies and was honoured at SoftWorld'98.

2000

  • The Digital Group was selected by the Government of Canada to represent the Canadian healthcare industry at the Millennium World's Fair. Expo 2000 ran from June 1 to October 31 in Hannover, Germany with over 200 nations participating. Digital's telehealth exhibit was located within the Canada pavilion and demonstrated various aspects of this technology, including video teleconferencing, patient monitoring, Continuing Medical Education (CME) and the Electronic Medical Record. During the five-month presentation, over 2.7 million visitors attended this exhibit, making it the most attended telehealth presentation to-date.

2003

  • The Digital Group of Telehealth Companies was a Canadian Information Productivity Award (CIPA) Finalist (Emerging Technology) for its efforts in developing a Telehealth program in Canada's Arctic.
  • The Digital Group of Telehealth Companies was awarded the CATA Alliance, Innovation and Leadership Award in the category of Emerging Technology.

Digital Project Awards are awards that have been presented to our Clients for projects that Digital was involved with as a primary partner:

2000

  • The West Prince Health Region was awarded the Gold Medal for Innovation for Canada's first telehomecare program (West Prince Telehospice Project). This annual award recognizes excellence in municipal, provincial and federal government projects. The Distinction 2000 Awards were presented at the Government Technology Exhibition (GTEC) conference in Ottawa.

2004

  • The IIU Telehealth Network was selected by the Canadian Society of Telehealth to receive the Digital Group of Telehealth Companies Award of Excellence.
  • IIU Telehealth Network received the Canadian Information Productivity Award (CIPA) in the Mobile Solutions category.
